You’re curious. We get that a lot.
A studio built on questions can hardly dodge yours. Here are the most often ones we hear,
answered honestly. Have more? Email us at hello@studiocuriouscircle.com
Curiosity is how we work, asking more questions than feels comfortable, digging past the brief. The circle is what happens after, the returning, the projects that don’t end at handover. Also, we’ll admit, it’s fun to say.
Bombay, with roots in Calcutta. Both cities show up in the work more than you’d expect.
Small on purpose. A handful of people, no account managers, no layers between the person thinking about your brand and the person you’re talking to.
Small team, real ownership, a lot of questions asked out loud. You’ll work closely on real client work early on, not just observe from the sidelines.
Both. We work with freelance writers, photographers, illustrators, filmmakers, animators, and stylists constantly, alongside our core team
Yes. Good people are worth knowing about before we need them. Send it over and we’ll keep you in mind.
We start with questions, a lot of them. Research and strategy come before any design work begins. From there we move through identity, packaging, or web, whatever the brand actually needs, in stages you sign off on along the way. No black boxes, no big reveal at the end. For more details see this
Founders who want a partner in the thinking, not just someone to execute a brief. We’ve built brands across skincare, food, hospitality, education, and furniture, so industry was never really the filter. Fit is.
It depends on scope. A full brand build is a different animal from a packaging refresh. Tell us what you’re working with and we’ll tell you what’s realistic. We’d rather right-size a project than oversell you on one.
Yes. Brand mentoring and consulting are part of what we do, and most clients come back for new categories, new products, or a second opinion. The relationship rarely ends at handover. But if there is anything else, we recommend our friends/collaborators who would do a better job than we would.
That’s more common than you’d think. Plenty of projects start with “something feels off, but I can’t name it.” Naming it is usually the first thing we do together.
Small Circle is our format for early-stage brands, shorter, more focused projects with the same thinking, just concentrated. It exists because some of the most interesting brands haven’t raised their big round yet.
Yes. Most of the process runs on calls and shared documents, which travel fine across time zones. Distance hasn’t been a real obstacle yet.
A full brand build usually runs a few months. Smaller scopes move faster. What we won’t do is compress the strategy phase to hit a launch date, rushed thinking tends to show up in the work later.
Occasionally, when the fit and timing are right. Tell us what you’re building, and we’ll be honest about whether it’s a fit.
